timmy.pngTruckers are now *legally* able to drive 65 in Ohio now. Therefore they will soon be driving 75 with the rest of Ohio's motorists while being passed by Ohio State Patrol officers. I just wonder how much time and money this is costing (legislation, making new signs, putting up new signs, etc...) while the state is planning to reduce funding for programs that Ohioans actually need, like libraries, child care facilities and Help Me Grow programs. Gotta love progress.

firefox.pngI have not done this kind of thing for a while... So here it is: I'm giving code away. That's right for a limited time only, I'm giving away ones and zeros. (Doesn't sound so hot anymore does it?) It took a few revisions to figure out what I was doing wrong (aka why it wouldn't work in IE), but it is running well and is ready to be added to your website. You're welcome. As always, feedback is welcome and please give me a little credit if you use the code. View it. Download it.

dollar-sign.jpg"The system" (aka our socialistic government) is not keeping up its end of the bargain. We are a two-income family... or at least we were until my six-month pregnant wife was laid off. (Yeah, that's another rant...) She is currently working a couple of hours here-and-there with her employer and they are paying her the vacation time that she has coming to her. The problem with this is that she is not eligible for unemployment while they are paying her. The vacation pay will run out just before the baby is born. While she is on "maternity leave" she is ineligible for unemployment because she is "medically unable to work."

dollar-sign.jpgTimes are tough and to get my family and myself through I am whoring myself out. I've got skills to pay the bills, but that doesn't seem to be enough... Someone has to pay me for my skills so I can pay the bills. So if you need some PHP/MySQL/Ajax work done, or know someone who does, please send them my way! I can provide a resume (and/or references) on demand to anyone that needs scripting done (and has cash).

I wish this was a funny post that was not serious at all... But it is. I have even opened an account on a freelance coder site and will accept any work that I am qualified to handle. I figure I can either sit back and wait for the "Stimulus Package" to trickle down to me or I can beg for work... I'm choosing the latter.
